Hello fellow Panthers, my name is Arron De Leon, Head Coach of the BLHS Boys Lacrosse Team. Now that our inaugural season has come to an end, we are starting to look forward to next season. We will be holding an “Intro to Lacrosse” clinic in June. This is your chance to try this fun, exciting, fast pace, high intensity game. Oh yeah, did I mention physical as well. Come out, tell your friends and “Honor the Game” by letting your athleticism shine through.

 

• What is Lacrosse? Is it from Europe somewhere?

Lacrosse, “the Creator’s Game,” is a Native American game that has been played by tribes from the entire east coast to the Mississippi Valley for hundreds of years. Long before the arrival of Columbus.

 

• Why Lacrosse?

Not only is it fun, East coast high school football players (and now the high school football fanatics of Texas) play Lacrosse in the spring. It keeps them physically fit and their athletic minds sharp for the upcoming football season. Why would you not use this valuable training tool to improve your football skills?

 

•  What do I need for the Clinic?

Cleats, Shorts, T-shirt, Mouthpiece, Athletic cup. If you do not have Lacrosse gear and stick, we will have some on hand for you to use.

 

• Summer Tournaments

Anyone is invited to play in two summer tournaments with the current team. The Summer Solstice Shootout 19-21 June @Starfire sports complex Tukwila, WA. The South Sound Summer Slam 10-12 July @PLU campus. $100 covers both tournaments
